Getting started
- Download Birthdays from the App Store (coming soon).
- Open the app — no account or login required.
- Tap the + button to add your first birthday. Enter a name and date; the zodiac sign and age appear automatically.
- Set a default reminder (on the day, or 1, 3, or 7 days before) in Settings, then override per person as needed.
- Optionally import existing birthdays from your iOS Calendar — review the list before confirming.
Device requirements
Birthdays requires iOS 18 or later. It runs on any iPhone that supports iOS 18. There are no iPad or Mac versions at this time.
Purchase & one-time price
Birthdays is a one-time purchase of £2.99 through the Apple App Store. Pay once and use it forever, including all future updates. There are no subscriptions and no in-app upsells.
Restoring a purchase
If you reinstall the app or get a new iPhone, your purchase can be restored by signing in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. Inside the app, go to Settings → Restore Purchase if it does not restore automatically.
Reminders & notifications
Birthdays uses iOS local notifications — no internet connection is required. Reminders are scheduled entirely on your device.
If you are not receiving reminders, check that notifications are enabled for Birthdays in Settings → Notifications → Birthdays. Also ensure that Do Not Disturb or Focus modes are not blocking the app.
Calendar import
Birthdays can read birthday events from your iOS Calendar. When you tap Import, the app reads your calendar locally and shows you a list to review. Nothing is added silently — you choose exactly what comes across.
Calendar access is requested the first time you use the import feature. You can revoke it at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars.
Privacy
Your birthday data stays on your device. There is no account, no analytics, and nothing is sent to our servers. Optional iCloud sync uses your own private iCloud only. See the full Privacy Policy for details.
Troubleshooting
Reminders not arriving: Check that notifications are enabled for Birthdays in iOS Settings. Reminders are delivered via the iOS notification system and may be delayed or suppressed by Focus modes.
Purchase not unlocking: Tap Restore Purchase in the app’s Settings tab. Ensure you are signed into the Apple ID used for the original purchase.
App not loading correctly: Force-quit and reopen. If the issue persists, email us with your device model and iOS version.
Calendar import shows no birthdays: Ensure calendar access is granted in iOS Settings and that your existing calendar events use “birthday” in the event title or are in a dedicated Birthdays calendar.
Data deletion
Birthdays stores all data locally on your device. To delete everything, uninstall the app — all local data is removed automatically. If you have iCloud sync enabled, you can disable it and clear the iCloud data in Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
Because IvanHub holds no data about you, there is nothing for us to delete on our end.
