Effective date: 2026-06-06. This policy explains how the Birthdays iOS app (“the App”), developed by IvanHub (ivanhub.co.uk), handles your data.
1. On-device storage
All birthday data you enter is stored locally on your iPhone. If you choose to enable iCloud sync, data is stored in your own private iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit framework. Your data is never sent to any server that IvanHub operates.
2. Optional iCloud sync
iCloud sync is entirely optional and off by default. When enabled, CloudKit syncs your birthdays privately across your own Apple devices. Apple’s standard iCloud privacy terms apply. IvanHub cannot access your iCloud data.
3. No accounts, no analytics, no tracking
Birthdays requires no account. There are no analytics SDKs, no advertising frameworks, no tracking pixels, and no third-party data brokers involved. We do not know how you use the app.
4. Notifications
If you grant notification permission, reminders are delivered as local iOS notifications. They are scheduled entirely on-device — no data is sent externally to trigger them.
5. Purchases
The one-time £2.99 purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. IvanHub does not receive, store, or process your payment details. No third-party payment SDKs are used.
6. Calendar import
If you choose to import birthdays from your iOS Calendar, the App reads your calendar events locally. You review and approve everything before it is added. No calendar data is transmitted anywhere.
7. Children’s privacy
Birthdays does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any data from children. The App complies with COPPA, GDPR, and UK-GDPR requirements.
8. GDPR, UK-GDPR & CCPA rights
Because no personal data is collected or held by IvanHub, your rights to access, rectify, erase, and port data are satisfied by design. There is no data on our end to act on. To delete all local data, simply uninstall the App.
9. Changes to this policy
If the App’s data practices materially change, this policy will be updated and noted in the App Store release notes. The effective date above will be revised.
