Frequently asked questions
Everything about quoting, invoicing and how TradesQuote keeps your data on your iPhone.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. TradesQuote is local-first: your quotes, invoices, clients and line items are stored on your iPhone. There's no account and it works offline. If you turn on optional iCloud sync, your data syncs through your own private iCloud — we never see it.
How do I make a quote?
Pick a client, add line items for labour and materials, set VAT and any deposit, and TradesQuote totals it for you. Then export a professional PDF and send it by WhatsApp or email.
Can I turn a quote into an invoice?
Yes — one tap. The client, line items and your document numbering all carry across to the invoice, so you never retype a job.
Can I put my logo on my PDFs?
Yes, with the one-time lifetime unlock. Your business logo appears on every quote and invoice PDF.
What's free and what's paid?
The free tier covers 3 documents a month, up to 5 clients, 10 saved line items and 1 business profile, with no custom logo. The one-time £29.99 lifetime unlock removes those limits and adds your logo to PDFs.
Does it work offline?
Yes — fully. The only time it uses the network is to verify your one-time purchase through the App Store, and for optional iCloud sync if you choose to enable it.
Will it do my taxes or VAT return?
No. TradesQuote produces job paperwork and calculates VAT on your documents, but it is not tax or accounting advice. Always confirm figures with a qualified accountant.
How much does it cost?
A one-time £29.99 lifetime unlock — pay once, use it forever, no subscription. There's a free tier so you can try it first.
Is it available yet?
TradesQuote is coming soon to the App Store for iPhone (iOS 17+). Purchases and any refunds are handled by Apple through your App Store account.
